We are currently working on a version 1.5 of GREAT. The major changes
noticeable to users will be:

1. An improved code base that should run faster and allow the analysis of
larger datasets
2. Updated ontologies that will provide the latest known biological functions
of genes, increasing the likelihood that enriched functions are identified
3. A versioning system that will allow exact reproduction of runs from any
earlier date

While the user and programming interfaces of GREAT will remain largely the
same, we will add a subset of features that users have requested, including:

* Additional data filtering options:
o Showing only terms significant by the binomial test (good for large
input sets)
o A maximum annotation count filter
o Annotation count filters for the foreground / background test
* Ability to download the mapping between all input regions and genes
* Updating the GREAT programming interface to support foreground / background
tests

Our goal is to make GREAT useful and convenient for you to use! To that end,
if there is specific functionality that GREAT does not offer that you wish
were there, please send us an email (great-users at lists.stanford.edu). We will
do our best to incorporate useful suggestions within the scope of the updated
release.
