The Pathway Commons1 ontology contains data on pathways from multiple sources. Pathways include biochemical reactions, complex assembly, transport and catalysis events, and physical interactions involving proteins, DNA, RNA, small molecules and complexes.
The human ontology contains 1,253 pathways, 3,921 genes, and 52,505 associations.
The mouse ontology contains 83 pathways, 116 genes, and 206 associations.
The mouse ontology contains considerably less data because many input databases in Pathway Commons are specific to human pathways.
All data for this ontology was downloaded on July 20, 2009.
